Hi — I'm Sarah.
I'm interested in community building, partner dancing, and software engineering. I enjoy thoughtful conversations about philosophy, reading widely, and growing things. This site is where I share my interests and what I'm working on.
Interests
Community Building
- I participate in the council of a consensus-based intentional community centered around a neighborhood garden
- I am a member of several local community group chats for mutual aid, partner dance, and social events
- I enjoy attending the Twin Oaks Communities Conference focused on intentional communities
Partner Dancing
- I am experienced at leading Argentine tango, blues, Lindy hop, and fusion dance
- I am passably capable of following in salsa, bachata, merengue, zouk, kizomba, contra, west coast swing, and Balboa
- I have taught group and individual classes and helped organized social dance events, for example as president of the Argentine Tango Club of my university
Software Engineering
- I am primarily an Android developer
- I pursued tech out of a desire to apply this problem solving to areas related to the social sciences and environmentalism
